BIO

Born and raised just outside of Boston, Lipinski was first introduced to acting when he joined an experimental theater troupe while attending Brown University. He continued with his history degree, but after graduating he continued to be involved with experimental theatre, particularly The Theatre of the Two-Headed Calf in Rhode Island, which led to his decision to move to New York City, where he soon landed his first film role in Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" (2008), although his scene ended up on the cutting room floor. Lipinski landed his first television role the final year of the long-running procedural drama "Law & Order" (NBC 1990-2010), followed by roles in the television mini-series "Mildred Pierce" (HBO 2011) and the short-lived swinging '60s period piece "Pan Am" (ABC 2011-12). His first real break came with the recurring role of Ben Preswick on the series "Deception" (NBC 2013). This was quickly followed up with his role of Charlie Mead in "The Following" (FOX 2013-15). Lipinski returned to the big screen in Jason Reitman's drama "Labor Day" (2014), in flashback scenes where he played the younger version of Josh Brolin's wanted criminal Frank.

Review - A Light Lunch: Pre-Mortem

A couple of years ago I went to The Flea Theater and had a fun time with A.R. Gurney's then newest play, Post Mortem. It was a clever little piece taking place in the future about a college student writing his thesis on a long-forgotten playwright named A.R. Gurney, and was filled with self-referential zingers based on his reputation for writing 'middle class comedies of manners' that made him popular with WASP theatergoers.
