Guest Blog: Road to the Jimmys - All In A Day's Work (Day 3/4)
Time is precious on the road to the Jimmy Awards, and no time was wasted on Day 2 as John and Shelby hit the ground running at 7:30am. Their first full day included vocal rehearsal, dancing, a costume parade, surprise guests and some really good news! John and Shelby were both selected to be in the medley group for the Jimmy Awards. In addition, Shelby will be working with Broadway Director, Schele Kleinberger and John will be coached by Broadway veteran, Michael McElroy. Looks like their week is off to a great start!

It's that time of year again! DSM's High School Musical Theatre Award-winning Best Actor and Actress, John Fredrickson and Shelby Priddy, are off to New York City to compete in the 2017 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA)! John and Shelby will participate in a week-long training intensive with Broadway industry professionals and faculty members of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, in preparation for their Broadway debut on Monday, June 26th at the Minskoff Theatre.

Phantom of the Opera World Tour - also called the Australasian tour - is produced by RUG Asia Pacific, with local collaborators, and has been on the road since 2004. Las Vegas residents William Waldrop and Robert Williamson will present an afternoon concert at the Clark County Flamingo Library Theater on August 8, 2010 at 1:30 PM, with a silent auction and reception beginning at 12 PM. The concert is presented by SinCityQSocials, Las Vegas' Premiere LGBT Social Network, and will utilize actors and musicians from Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular. Tickets for the concert are $20 (reserved seating) and can be purchased by calling 1-866-967-8167 or online at www.waldropandwilliamson.com. All proceeds from the concert, as well as the preceding silent auction, will benefit Golden Rainbow, the local non-profit organization that provides housing and financial assistance to Southern Nevadans living with HIV/AIDS.

Vegas PBS and PHANTOM's Tina Walsh Team Up for Reading Week Celebration
Vegas PBS and Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular marked this year's Nevada Reading Week with a special reading today (March 1) at John Tartan Elementary School in Las Vegas. Tina Walsh, who currently plays the leading role of "Madame Giry" in Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian, lent her powerful vocals to a new endeavor - the celebration of literacy - as she read to two individual classes.
