Tina Barrus

Tina is the current Director of Education for Plaza Academy, a fine arts academy that is part of Plaza Theatre Company in Cleburne, Texas. She has almost 30 years experience in teaching theater and working with children. Her unique vision springs from a childhood spent in the arts. She first appeared on stage at the tender age of 5 on stage and since then has performed in over 100 productions.

Tina received musical theater scholarship to both Utah State University and Weber State University.

She has directed over 40 community productions and over 20 chilren's theatre productions.

Tina has won multiple Dallas/Fort Worth area awards (The Column Awards) in directing, costume design and acting. She was one of the award recieptiants in the ninth annual FREDDIE G FELLOWSHIP.

Tina is one of the four founding producers of Plaza Theatre Company and is also the resident costume designer.
