Commonwealth Shakespeare's 'Shakespeare and the Law' Series to Continue with MEASURE FOR MEASURE

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC), in collaboration with the Boston Lawyers' Chapter of the Federalist Society, will present its annual Shakespeare and the Law series, focusing this fall on Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, directed by CSC's Associate Artistic Director Adam Sanders and produced by McCarter & English partner Daniel J. Kelly.

Good Theater presents THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL

Good Theater, the professional theater in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, is pleased to present Horton Foote's multi-award-winning The Trip to Bountiful starring Broadway veteran Louisa Flaningam.  Bountiful opens March 29 and plays through April 30.

11th Hour Theatre Company finishes its Next Step Concert Series with Andrew Lippa and John August's musical retelling of the wildly popular Daniel Wallace novel and Tim Burton movie, Big Fish. This concert performance runs June 18-20 at the Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. WICKED will welcome new cast members to the Broadway blockbuster beginning Tuesday, February 25. CHRISTINE DWYER will assume the role of Elphaba, after recently performing the role on National Tour, and JENNI BARBER (The Nance, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) will assume the role of Glinda.
Ear to the Earth Presents INSECT MUSIC, 5/22

In the spring of 2013, the cicadas in the Northeastern U.S. will emerge from their seventeen-year cycle, the longest gestation period of any animal. On the occasion of the cicadas' arrival and the release of David Rothenberg's CD and book, Bug Music: How Insects Gave us Rhythm and Noise (St Martin Press, 2013), Ear to the Earth is pleased to present Insect Music - an evening of conversation, film and music on the sonic world of the cicadas. Insect Music will take place at Judson Church, located at 55 Washington Square South (NYC), on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 pm. Suggested donation: $15 at the door. Arden Theatre Company concludes its 2009/10 season with the Pultizer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, directed by Terrence J. Nolen, the Arden's producing artistic director. Sunday in the Park marks the twelfth Sondheim production in the company's history and the first time the Arden will use Sondheim's complete original orchestrations, led by Barrymore Award-winning musical director Eric Ebbenga.
