With 15 nominations, FX’s The Bear was the most nominated series this year, followed by Max’s Hacks and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building with 13 each. ABC’s Abbott Elementary and CBS’s Ghosts are tied for third place, with 11 nominations each.

The challenge is how to transfer it effectively from page to stage. In its current form, it feels more like a workshop than a ready-for-prime-time production.

STARS IN THE HOUSE Anniversary Show Brings Fundraising Total To Over $750,000 In Support of The Actors Fund

The anniversary episode broke the single-show fundraising record, raising over $28,300 (including a $10,000 matching grant from the Frances Lear Foundation).  Now, after over 375 episodes, “Stars In The House” has raised over $751,842 for The Actors Fund & $200,000 for other charity organizations who have needed support throughout the pandemic.

Following the screening, there will be a talkback with director, Timothy Busfield, producer, Melissa Gilbert, as well as the stars of the film, Jeff Daniels and Thomas Macias. All proceeds from the film screening with go to fund The Purple Rose Theatre's 29th season of plays.
