15th Anniversary Concert Season Starts At The Royal Conservatory Of Music
“After three years of uncertainty, cancellations, and shutdowns, Koerner Hall celebrates its 15th season filled with superstars from classical, jazz, pop, and global music, including debuts from over 20 artists ranging from the German pianist Igor Levit to Sona Jobarteh, the first female griot kora player from The Gambia. Two internationally acclaimed orchestras led by legendary Maestros sit comfortably alongside artists from 33 different countries. Two thirds of the concerts feature Canadians and a third of them feature artists that celebrate the great diversity of our city. We are indebted to our subscribers and to our legion of donors who help us at every turn. I look forward to sharing many evenings together,” said Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts.
Rolling Stones to Release 'Licked Live in NYC' Restored Collection
Originally released in 2003 as an HBO special and as part of the Four Flicks package, this concert has been fully restored and remastered with four previously unreleased songs: “Start Me Up”, “Tumbling Dice”, “Gimme Shelter”, and “Sympathy For The Devil.” The release features three bonus performances from Amsterdam and rehearsal footage. Murray Perahia Re-Scheduled For The 2019-20 Concert Season
The Royal Conservatory of Music regrets to announce that renowned American pianist Peter Serkin, who was scheduled to replace Murray Perahia on May 1, has had to withdraw from the recital for medical reasons. The Conservatory is thrilled to announce that it has been successful in re-booking the originally scheduled Perahia, for the 2019-20 concert season on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

The Royal Conservatory regrets to announce that American pianist Murray Perahia has had to cancel what would have been his Koerner Hall debut on May 1, during Koerner Hall's 10th anniversary season finale festival. A statement from his management reads, It is with great regret that Mr. Perahia has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming solo recitals in North America as a sudden medical setback has prevented him from performing publicly. Besides his date in Koerner Hall, Perahia has withdrawn from concerts at Carnegie Hall and Chicago's Symphony Center.
