Tim Bennett

TIM BENNETT is the Artistic Director for Cirque du Soleil's OVO. He previously served as the resident director of Disney's THE LION KING in Las Vegas, as well as Entertainment Director for Princess Cruises.

His work as a director/choreographer includes staged concerts with the Boston Pops including BERNSTEIN ON BROADWAY, A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL for the North Carolina Theatre, LES MISERABLES, RENT MISS SAIGON, and 42ND STREET at Casa Manana, URINETOWN, GREASE, and 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, as well as developmental readings of BIG FAT CAT, MARKSMEN, and ABELARD AND HELOISE.

Tim began as an actor where his credits included national and international tours of STEEL PIER, PHANTOM opposite Kristin Chenoweth, PACIFIC with Robert Goulet, and MY FAIR LADY with Richard Chamberlain. On television, he appeared on Growing Pains, as well as numerous daytime dramas and commercials.

Tim received a BFA in musical theatre and dance from The Boston Conservatory, and a master’s degree in directing from NYU. www.timbennettonline.com
