Encompass to Present ANGEL OF THE AMAZON at The Sheen Center in November
Celebrating 46 years of creative music theatre, Encompass Artistic Director, Nancy Rhodes and Music Director, Liz Hastings will present Angel of the Amazon, a new musical drama with book and music by Evan Mack at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012. Performances begin Thursday, November 10 and runs through Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Liz Callaway, Sheldon Harnick and More Join York Theatre 50th Anniversary Season Events in March
The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, as part of its 50th Anniversary season celebration, will present two added special events during the month of March: York Chat: Musicals in Mufti: 118 and Counting, the second in a series of panel discussions, _An Evening with Sheldon Harnick and Friends_ a special concert featuring Sheldon Harnick, Liz Callaway, and Karen Ziemba. Both special events will take place at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Theater fans tend to highlight certain events throughout the year, moments where the work being produced in theaters, mostly on Broadway, has a chance to shine and become known to greater audiences. The Tony Awards in June and the Thanksgiving Day Parades in November usually draw the most attention, but the Grammy Awards each winter also brings this pleasure to theater fans.

NYU Skirball Presents Skirball Talks: Broadway To Main Street Panel
NYU Skirball will present Skirball Talks: Broadway To Main Street, a free theater panel hosted by Laurence Maslon, with Ted Chapin, Thomas Z. Shepard and Kurt Deutsch, on Monday, November 19 at 6:30 pm. The Talk is presented in conjunction with the publication of Maslon's newest book, Broadway to Main Street: How Show Tunes Enchanted America (Oxford University Press). Held weekly every Monday at 6:30pm during the academic terms, Skirball Talks hosts visionaries from the worlds of politics, the arts, sciences, academia, and more. RSVP is necessary.
