RCA Records drops Doja Cat’s melodic, bouncy new single “Vegas” from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The soundtrack is set to be released the same date as Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming film ELVIS, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The track incorporates “Hound Dog” in a unique, singular way that only Doja Cat could ever do.

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). BWW Review: MCT'S Elegant GREAT EXPECTATIONS Empowers Audiences
In an impassioned, almost poetic adaptation of Charles Dickens' masterpiece Great Expectations, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) opened Gale Childs Daly's evocative interpretation in the Cabot Theatre last weekend. Composer Andrew Crowe, premier violinist, added an original score to haunt and mesmerize audiences sitting in the theatre as he waltzed through every scene. Daly's adaptation literally leaps off the pages of the 1861 novel, and the cast under Director Molly Rhode incorporates actual books as props for meat pies or rhythm instruments to miraculous effect each step of the way through the main character Pip's coming of age and maturation.

Theater RED's world premiere production takes the audience's breath away when the cast ascends swaying ladders, swings on ropes across the stage and flashes their sword play while these men and women 'pirates' cast about for a new ship to find plundered treasures.

'Life is too important to be taken seriously,' quoted Oscar Wilde, the famous and infamous author who wrote the ever popular 'The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People' in 1895. In Tandem provides an endearing musical version of Wilde's play from an original 1960 production Ernest in Love by collaborating with Milwaukee Opera Theatre. In an adaptation written by Anne Croswell with music composed by Lee Pockriss, the performance had been revived in the early 2000's. on Broadway Director Jane Flieller hits all the right notes with touching humor when she assembled an accomplished, elegant cast to revive Wilde's clever romantic tale of social class and turn of the 20th century society.
