Bookings for Cape Town City Ballet's Spectacular CARMEN Now Open
Bookings for the spectacular ballet, CARMEN, are now open at Computicket. Choreographed by South Africa's foremost ballet choreographer, Veronica Paeper, CARMEN will be performed by star dancers of the Cape Town City Ballet at Artscape in Cape Town from 25 to 31 March.
Cape Town City Ballet's LA SYLPHIDE Opens 1 February
Opening on Sunday 1 February, the Cape Town City Ballet's much anticipated annual season at Maynardville Park will feature four performances of the enchanting ballet, LA SYLPHIDE. Running until 22 February, lovers of dance can once again look forward to experiencing the beautiful art of ballet in the breathtaking open-air setting of the park.
Cape Town City Ballet to Present CINDERELLA, from 19 Dec
This festive season, Cape Town City Ballet ends its 80th anniversary celebrations on a high note, with a magical production of the ballet, Cinderella. Filled with lots of fun and laughter for the whole family, Cinderella will be presented at Artscape in Cape Town from 19 December to 10 January. The matinee performance on 24 December will include the very popular annual Fairy Parade.
Winners of the Cape Town City Ballet Awards 2014 Announced
The prestigious Cape Town City Ballet Awards 2014 were announced on Saturday 22 November at the Artscape Opera House. The awards ceremony followed the final performance of the company's latest production, Gala Occasion. Invited guests, members of Friends of Cape Town City Ballet and the company were welcomed by master of ceremonies, Keith Mackintosh and chairman of the CTCB board, Henry Sudwarts in celebration of the company's outstanding dance achievements.

Cape Town City Ballet Announces Promotions
Cape Town City Ballet, currently in rehearsal for their July season at Artscape Theatre, recently announced the names of dancers promoted in the company. This exciting news was made known to the company after they returned from their autumn holidays. The dancers who have received promotions are (left to right): Elizabeth Nienaber, Bradley van Heerden, Kim Vieira, Daniel Szybkowski, Laura Bösenberg, Angela Hansford, Rosamund Ford and Thomas Thorne.

South Africa's National Ballet Company, Cape Town City Ballet, will continue their 80th anniversary celebrations with their breathtaking production of Swan Lake at the Artscape Opera House from 5-20 April. The season includes guest performances by stars of The Royal Ballet.
