McGrath, Beth Williams), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan have just announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will open Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), following a preview period that begins Saturday, February 23, 2013. Omaha Performing Arts SHREK THE MUSICAL 'Where's Gingy?' Photo Contest Opens Submissions thru 10/1

SHREK fans are invited to submit a photo of fairytale character "Gingy" at one of their favorite destinations during Omaha Performing Arts' "Gingy" photo contest. Photos of "Gingy" will be accepted via Twitter (Hash tag: #GingyInOmaha) and Facebook, September 21 through October 1. The public will vote for their favorite photo via Facebook from October 1 through October 12. The person submitting the winning entry will receive four tickets to SHREK THE MUSICAL for opening night at the Orpheum Theater, Tuesday, October 23. "Gingy" is one of several fairytale characters audiences will see during SHREK THE MUSICAL, which will continue performances through Sunday, October 28. The production is part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway series.

The producers of the new musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY announced today that Benjamin Millepied has withdrawn from the production due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts and that, going forward, Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Jersey Boys) will assume musical staging responsibilities for the show. Theatre, dates, and ticket information for the Broadway production of HANDS ON A HARDBODY will be announced shortly.

MARY POPPINS Boston Engagement Cancelled Due to Tour Re-Route

Broadway In Boston has announced that the return engagement of MARY POPPINS has been cancelled due to the re-routing of the tour. Previously announced for May 2013, the recent change in the show's road itinerary prevents the production from arriving in Boston as originally scheduled. Broadway in Boston continues to work with the show's booking agents with the hopes of bringing this joyful and stunning production back to Boston at a later time.
