Taproot Theatre Announces Emergency Fundraising Campaign
Earlier this year Taproot Theatre, a $3.5 million theatre incorporated as both a nonprofit and a parachurch organization, initiated an emergency fundraising campaign. Now, the theatre has unveiled a comprehensive plan aimed at bridging the gap between the increasing costs of operation and the slow post-pandemic arts recovery.

Playhouse Theatre Incorporated has assembled a cast of stellar performers for their production of 'Spamalot' which opened on Saturday night. The laughter and vibe of fun amongst the audience was a testament to the high energy and talent on the stage.
All performers more-than-ably delivered the offbeat humour with the right ingredients of 'silly seriousness', sung extremely well, and dance like pros.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), Frederick's largest producing non-profit theater, launched a Capital Campaign in September of 2013 to raise funds for an additional performance venue and alterations to the existing facilities. On January 10, 2015 MET celebrated the completion of the Stage2: The Greene Space venue and numerous other capital improvements with a ribbon cutting ceremony, hours of free activities for families, and an evening of comedy and music. Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), Frederick's largest producing non-profit theatre will be holding a Bowl-A-Thon at Terrace Lanes today, April 26 to benefit their ongoing Capital Campaign to raise funds for a second performance venue. The Bowl-A-Thon will provide a fun activity for the whole family to participate in that will help the MET better serve its students and patrons. MET will cover the costs of all the bowling, food and drinks and is looking forward to enjoyable afternoon at the lanes that will include prizes for the top earners.
