Feature: VILNA: A FORGOTTEN RESISTANCE at White Theatre
“Vilna: A Resistance Story” is a new musical theater composition by Kevin and Allison Cloud with a book by Lisa Kenner Grissom. It tells the unfamiliar story of the roughly hundred thousand Vilna Jews before and during the Nazi Holocaust period.
Phase 2 of EYEWITNESS by B.A. Van Sise to Open at Museum of Jewish Heritage on 5/10
The second phase of monumental installation, Eyewitness by photojournalist B.A. Van Sise will be unveiled at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust on Wednesday, May 10. The current installation consists of 20 photographs of Holocaust survivors who live in New York City at large scale (between 4 and 13 feet high) filling the windows of the Museum's facade. Phase 2 will consist of 11 portraits that will be placed in windows on the third floor opposite James Carpenter's Reflection Passage, a permanent installation that provides a contemplative space as people move through the Museum.

John Rickett Releases Father's Recently Found War Memoir
It was the recent discovery of the diary of a doctor working during the Blitz of 1940-41 that was the inspiration for the book 'Stretchers Not Available: The Wartime Story of Dr Jim Rickett' (published by AuthorHouse). A medical practice under the threat of war and with bombs landing around is the theme. Told at first hand, it is an archive of that time. A caesarian had to done on the dining room table. Medicine as it was then and never will be the same. The author John Rickett, himself a surgeon and the son of Jim, is able to give insight and comment on the medical aspects. He is launching a revived marketing campaign for the book in 2013.
Tony Snells Writes New Memoir SPITFIRE TROUBADOUR
Having read the harrowing adventures of war escapees from books such as Paul Brickhill's "Escape or Die," Air Commodore Pitchfork's "Shot Down on the Run," and John Folian's "Mussolini's Island," author Tony Snell decided to pen his own memoir about a man shot down in battle fighting to return home, "Spitfire Troubadour" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Puppets and live performers enact an enigmatic tale of early World War II in 'King Executioner,' the newest creation of Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre written and directed by Vit Horejš. The play is loosely based on 'When you are a King, You will be an Executioner' ('A Jak Krolem a Jak Katem Bedzies,' 1968) by the Polish magical realist novelist Tadeusz Nowak (1930-1991).
