2016 Sydney Theatre Award Nominations Announced
Nominations were announced today for the Sydney Theatre Awards for 2016, which will be presented at a gala ceremony on Monday 23 January 2017 at 6pm at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre, a much larger venue than previous years due to the burgeoning popularity of the ceremony.
STC to Stage THE SECRET RIVER
The Secret River became an instant Australian classic following it's sold out success for the Sydney Theatre Company in 2013. It now returns for an encore season at Roslyn Packer Theatre in February 2016, followed by a tour to Brisbane's QPAC for the Queensland Theatre Company and to the Arts Centre, Melbourne.
Warner Bros. Pictures Acquires Russell Crowe's THE WATER DIVINER
Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that it has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Academy Award winner Russell Crowe's ('Gladiator') directorial debut, from RatPac Entertainment, 'The Water Diviner,' which the Studio will release in select U.S. theaters on April 24, 2015.
