The Douglas Morrisson Theatre 2016-2017, 37th season launches with the regional premiere of Josefina Lopez's newly updated award-winning comedy Real Women Have Curves. DMT is tremendously excited to be presenting the regional premiere of Ms. Lopez's updated version, which first premiered at the Mission Cultural Center over 25 years ago in a production by El Teatro de la Esperanza.

Douglas Morrisson Theatre Receives Largest Donation Yet
The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District's Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward is proud to announce it largest ever donation, a gift just under $960,000, from The Leggo Family Trust. Kathleen Leggo, who died April 2, 2002, served as the Douglas Morrisson Theatre's property master for 18 years. Her portion of the Family Trust was allocated to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District for the benefit of the Douglas Morrisson Theatre.

The Douglas Morrisson Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with James & the Giant Peach, Roald Dahl's Fantasy Adventure for Children dramatized by Richard R. George. Directed by the Dawn Monique Williams, the play features an ensemble of local performers: Janelle Aguirre, Jordan Battle, Rebecca Fox, Don Hardwick, Amir Hasan, Travis Himebaugh, Carlos Joachin, Danny Martin, Joe Metheny and Belgica Rodriguez.
