BWW Review: INTO THE WOODS at Arden Theatre
by Tony Oriente - Jun 10, 2022
What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia? A fresh and innovative take on the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine classical musical. BWW Reviews: The Arden Theatre Presents an Entertaining INCORRUPTIBLE
by Kelli Curtin - Jun 6, 2014
The Arden Theatre closes the 2013/14 season with a Michael Hollinger play, INCORRUPTIBLE. This play is a dark comedy, which is set in the dark ages, about 1250 A.D. According to the Arden Theatre Hollinger asks the burning question in this play, "What happens when faith alone can't pay the bills?" INCORRUPTIBLE has a balance of verbal and physical comedy as well as asks the audience to reflect on blind faith.
BWW Reviews: The Arden Theatre's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is a Night to Remember
by Kelli Curtin - Jun 5, 2013
The word 'brilliant' is the word that came to mind as I left the Arden Theatre after seeing their production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. Stephen Sondheim wrote the music and lyrics for this musical and Hugh Wheeler wrote the book. The Ingmar Bergman film, SMILE OF A SUMMER NIGHT, inspired this musical. Terrance J. Nolan directs this current production, and the Arden's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is astounding.
