SeriesFest, the award-winning international festival and non-profit organization dedicated to championing emerging and underserved voices in storytelling, has announced the line-up for this year's signature series, “Innovation Talks.”
Quinta Brunson to Receive the ICG Publicists 2023 Television Showperson Award
Since its launch, Brunson and Abbott Elementary have garnered a slew of awards season wins and nominations. In 2022, the critically acclaimed series was nominated for seven Primetime Emmy® Awards, winning three. Quinta received three Emmy nominations including one in the Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series category.

Bill Kramer Named CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
Kramer will lead the global membership, the Oscars, the institution’s education and emerging talent initiatives, the Academy’s extensive collections housed in the Margaret Herrick Library and Academy Film Archive, and the Academy Museum and its ongoing calendar of exhibitions, screenings, educational and public programs, and retail operations.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Netflix hosted a Global Red Carpet and Premiere Screening event in celebration of “STRANGER THINGS 4” at Netflix Studios in Brooklyn, New York. The screening opened with remarks by: Ted Sarandos and Bela Bajaria of Netflix, followed by Shawn Levy and Matt & Ross Duffer. Afterward, the cast, creators and guests celebrated the series’ premiere at Netflix Studios Brooklyn, closing out the night.

Netflix Establishes $5.4 Million Chadwick Boseman Scholarship at Howard University
Howard University and Netflix today have announced a $5.4 million endowed scholarship to honor alumnus Chadwick A. Boseman, the esteemed actor, director, writer and producer. The Chadwick A. Boseman Memorial Scholarship will provide incoming students in the College of Fine Arts with a four-year scholarship to cover the full cost of University tuition.
