Taylor Pearlstein

Taylor (“Tay”) is an NYC based actor-musician, singer songwriter, composer, and storyteller. She grew up in a mountain small town near Seattle before earning her BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Arizona. Taylor toured the country as Kathryn Merteuil in the national tour of Cruel Intentions; regionally, she has been seen as Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof (ATC), and in Flashdance (Gateway Playhouse).

Taylor and her guitar can be found performing her own music at venues around the city. Living in emotional sounds of indie-folk and pop, her music comforts and challenges with vulnerability. Her music is available to stream on all platforms under Taylor Pearlstein.

As composer, Taylor is the music and lyrics half of writing duo Pearlstein and Flynn. Their new musical Wake You Up debuted in concert at NYC’s The Green Room 42, and is being workshopped around the country. The duo aim to create stories accessible to any and all bodies and identities, rooted in experiences universally resonant and made specific and important by what each human brings to each role.
