Third Rail Projects' award-winning THEN SHE FELL, currently in its seventh year, will celebrate its 4,000th performance on July 5, 2019. This immersive theater event is inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). THEN SHE FELL takes place at The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns, a century-old institutional building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where the action plays out on 3 floors. Tickets are currently on sale through September 29, 2019.

The Exponential Festival 2019 Presents DUET-ED
The Exponential Festival, a month-long January festival for NYC-based emerging artists working in experimental performance, is proud to present the world premiere production of Duet-ed by What Holds Heat. What Holds Heat is a collaboration between Nic Adams (Icarus in the L.E.S.) and Cori Marquis (Cori Marquis + the Nines [IX] and LMnO3). Of their works, they write, "Our kinetic and experiential works of performance seek to extend the boundaries of theatre and expand its power for our audience. Our ensemble-based theatre prioritizes impressionistic storytelling, with subjects ranging from the intimate to the fantastical, while always being grounded in the complexity of human relationships." Since 2015, What Holds Heat has produced three original works for the stage, at venues like Dixon Place, The Bushwick Starr (as part of Target Margin Theater's Stein Labs), and Vital Joint.

Now in their fifth season, Shakespeare in the Square, known for their performances in Washington Square Park, presents William Shakespeare's THE TRAGEDY OF ROMEO AND JULIET, in their Off-Broadway debut, this time indoors, at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street). Directed by Dan Hasse, THE TRAGEDY OF ROMEO AND JULIET opens Sunday, January 18th at 7PM. Performances begin Wednesday, January 14th and continue through Sunday, February 8th. In honor of William Shakespeare's birthday, Shakespeare in the Square, a student group at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts will perform A Midsummer Night's Dream, rain or shine, in Washington Square Park's Garibaldi Plaza (east of the fountain), Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m. Subway: A,B,C,D,E,F,M (W. 4th St.). The performances are free and open to the public. Seating is not provided.
