Theater For The New City Premieres Bebop Influenced Play THELONIOUS!
THELONIOUS! by award winning multidisciplinary artist Peter Welch is a dark, syncopated comedy about the American Dream told through the nightmare of a failing marriage. The play's world premiere will be presented by the legendary downtown performance staple Theater for the New City (TNC) from February 7th to March 3rd, 2019. The production will feature a diverse cast consisting of Nicholas Santasier, Sly Augustus, David F. Slone Esq., Courtney Torres, Xiren Wang, Jaine Ye and Remington Moses (the great granddaughter of Ozzie & Harriet Nelson, granddaughter of Ricky Nelson and daughter of prolific television actors William Moses and Tracy Nelson). The production will be directed by TNC's Administrative Director Jonathan Weber, and is being produced by PRIME Stage to Screen, who brought the highly praised GREAT KILLS starring EMMY winner Joe Pantoliano to TNC in 2015.

Panorama Europe 2018, the tenth edition of the essential festival of new and vital European cinema, co-presented by Museum of the Moving Image and the members of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture), includes fiction and documentary works that present a portrait of contemporary Europe during a period of tremendous flux. The festival, which launched in 2009 by Czech Center New York, continues to give New Yorkers an eclectic overview of the current European film scene.
New Dark Comedy APPENDAGE to Play Theater for the New City
From February 14 to 26, Theater for the New City will present the American premiere of 'Appendage' by Irish expatriate writer Derek Murphy. The dark comedy is staged by Mary Tierney, founder of the legendary Quaigh Lunchtime Series, in her return to the director's chair.

MoMA Announces Film Exhibitions for January and February 2013
MoMA and the Global Film Initiative (GFI) present Global Lens, an annual touring exhibition conceived by GFI to encourage filmmaking in countries with developing film communities. This selection of 10 films from as far afield as Iran, Serbia, Chile, Kazakhstan, and Iraq includes projects developed with seed money from GFI, and represents a concise survey of contemporary filmmaking from areas where local political restrictions and/or economic realities make such expensive and technology-driven endeavors a challenge. Global Lens 2013 will be headlined by ten award-winning narrative feature films from Brazil, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Serbia, all of which are deeply rooted in the social and political realities of the countries where their talented and resourceful makers live and set their stories.

Warhol Superstar Ultra Violet To Grace Kiwi Gallery Debut
Andy Warhol superstar Ultra Violet will be making a rare Miami Beach appearance, providing an early Christmas present to all who attend. Adding considerable heat to the excitement being generated by the presence of Art Basel Miami Beach, the KIWI Gallery, located at 1680 Michigan Avenue, will bow Thursday, December 2, with the extraordinary body of work and ground-breaking images of fine art by photographer William John Kennedy of internationally famed artists Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana. Kennedy is a Miami Beach resident.
