Tara is a New York City native, born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens. She attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts as a vocal major, and received her BFA in Musical Theater from Pace University. New York credits include Mimi in Rent at The Gallery Players, Karen O?s Stop the Virgens at St. Ann?s Warehouse, Cocaine: The Band - The Musical with Lena Hall at NYMF, Triassic Parq at FringeNYC, Isabelle in Isabelle and the Pretty-Ugly Spell at Vital Theatre Company, and a concert of DEX! A Killer Musical, a parody of Showtime?s Dexter, at 54 Below. Tara won the ?Best Actress Award? for her role as Veronica in That?s Just Super at the West Village Musical Theater Festival. Regional credits include Sheila in Hair at Playhouse on Park, Susan in tick, tick?BOOM! and Beehive: The 60?s Musical at The Eagle Theatre, Rent at John W. Engeman Theater, Factory Girl in Les Miserables at Weston Playhouse, Athena in The Odyssey Experience with Experiential Theater Company, and various roles at Weathervane Theatre. She received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, where she played Yelena in Annie Baker?s translation of Uncle Vanya, Candace in the world premiere of Kate Kremer?s Porch Play, and Jenny/Sofia in Nora S rena Casey?s Take the Car. Over the years, she has also worked on a handful of short films. Tara has an extensive music background, with various choral, a cappella, studio, and band singing experience.
