Tanya Berezin, actress and former Artistic Director of Circle Repertory Company has passed on November 29th at the age of 82 from lung cancer, according to the New York Times. She was at home of her daughter, Lila Thirkield, in San Francisco.

Performing and visual artists are banding together in Save NYSSSA Now to relaunch arts programming for talented high school students in the 52-year old New York Summer School for the Arts, known as NYSSSA. Jenen will present the first-ever Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson's acclaimed play, Burn This, directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer, and starring Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal. The play will re-open Ambassador Theatre Group's historic Hudson Theatre (139-141 West 44th St) on Broadway. Performances begin February 2017, with an opening night set for Monday, March 6, 2017.

Artists Rep to Present MISTAKES WERE MADE, 9/24-10/27

Artists Rep announces Michael Mendelson will step in to play the lead role of Felix Artifex, as Todd Van Voris must leave the production due to a family emergency. Artistic Director Dámaso Rodriguez will now direct Mendelson and guide the show to opening as the production's Associate Director. Originally slated to begin preview performances next Tuesday, September 17, the run dates for Mistakes Were Made will now be pushed back one week. Preview performances will begin September 24 and the play will open on September 28.

About the Playwright- Lanford Wilson

Lanford Wilson was born on April 13, 1937 in Lebanon, Missouri. At age 11, after his parents divorced and mother remarried, Wilson moved with his mother to Ozark where he developed an appreciation for art and tried his hand at performing in high school plays.
