Tamara Kangas Erickson is Co-owner, Vice President and Resident Choreographer at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, where she has directed and/or choreographed over 20 musicals. Director/Choreographer: Respect: A Musical Journey of Women; The Musical of Musicals, The Musical. Choreographer: Newsies, 42nd Street (Ivey Award), Easter Parade (World Premiere), Singin’ in the Rain, West Side Story, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Anything Goes, Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid and many more. As we brought stories back to the stage this year we focused on familiar stories with themes of togetherness, change and growth that also had a twist of something new. The story of the March girls is special and familiar to many and soars in this musical version. It gave us a chance to give folks the chance to come back to Artistry and hear the beautiful melodies or our orchestra in one of the most treasured stories of our time.

The casts (and their alumni) of Off-Broadway's long-running hits THIS ONE'S FOR THE GIRLS and SISTAS: THE MUSICAL were selected to perform the National Anthem for the New York Yankees home game vs. the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium last Wednesday. As seen in this video of the performance simulcast on the stadium's jumbotron, the ladies really hit this one out of the park! And, of course, the Yankees won the game.
