League Of Professional Theatre Women Announces 2020-21 Season
The League of Professional Theatre Women, an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, announces their 38th season of programming, events, and advocacy along with new officers and board members. All events this season will be presented online via Zoom, unless otherwise noted.
League Of Professional Theatre Women Welcomes New Officers And Board Members
The League of Professional Theatre Women (Shellen Lubin and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, will launch their 37th season of programming, events, and advocacy, with a special event on Wednesday, September 25 at Theaterlab (357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018). Pre-reception networking will begin at 6:30pm. The event will officially kick-off at 7pm, followed by post-reception networking from 9pm-9:30pm.

The Harvard Club of New York presented a very special event on May 26th featuring a performance and conversation with Ronald Keaton, star and author of the smash hit Off-Broadway play CHURCHILL. The evening was moderated by CHURCHILL's assistant director Tricia McDermott and culminated in a stimulating Q&A with the audience. Based on the life and writings of one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th Century, CHURCHILL opened at New World Stages on February 18th to unanimous rave reviews led by CBS Radio which declared, 'Ronald Keaton evokes a transcendent greatness that was Winston Churchill!' In this highly charged new play directed by Kurt Johns, Churchill discusses his failures and his successes; his love of art, liquor and women; and the bravery of Britain's finest hour.
CHURCHILL'S Ronald Keaton to Appear at Stamford's Palace Theatre Tonight
Ronald Keaton, star of the smash hit Off-Broadway play CHURCHILL, will appear along with the show's assistant director Tricia McDermott at the next 'Talk Series' event at The Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT tonight (Tuesday). The 'Talk Series' is a unique collaboration of The Palace Theatre, JCC Stamford and the 92nd Street Y. The discussion will begin at 7:30 PM and $25 tickets may be purchased through www.palacestamford.org. CHURCHILL, adapted and performed by Keaton, opened at New World Stages on February 18th to unanimous rave reviews led by CBS Radio which declared, 'Ronald Keaton evokes a transcendent greatness that was Winston Churchill! It's a one-man show that flies by!' Under the direction of Kurt Johns, CHURCHILL is based on the life and writings of one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th Century. Due to overwhelming demand, the show's producers recently put a new block of seats on sale through September 13th.
