T. J. has spent a good many years on the boards, He studied at the University of Iowa, where he was an improvisational actor for the Iowa Writer's Workshop. This gave him the opportunity to involve himself with a goodly number of original scripts, and the chance to observe close up the process involved in their crafting. Later he put this knowledge to good use as the Project Coordinator for the WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory which at the time was based at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. T. J. fed an avid interest in history by spending summers portraying William Jennings Bryan in an historical reenactment of the Scopes Monkey trial, held each year in Dayton, Tennessee, where the trial is presented in the actual courthouse, using the original furniture and fixtures in place during the famous 1925 trial. He?s preparing a one-man show on the subject which he hopes to someday tour with. Perhaps it will become a companion piece to his previous solo excursion in W. C. Field?s Elixir of Love. T. J. and his wife, award winning actress Susan recently sold their theatrically themed B&B which has provided him the opportunity to return to the stage, sharing stories and showing off, the two things he enjoys most.
