1st Stage Announces UNDER THE SEA WITH DREDGIE MCGEE
Under the Sea with Dredgie McGee is a delightfully kooky, innovative production, sure to take you to a magical world far below our own. A splash of the 'Muppet Show', 'The Tonight Show', 'Pee Wee's Playhouse', and 'Pirates of the Caribbean', blended with a touch of macabre (á la Tim Burton), this vibrant and unique theatrical event is designed for ages 8 and up (so bring the family!).
BWW Review: THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE at Imagination Stage
Imagination Stage has revived their Helen Hayes Award-winning 2012 production of 'The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe' for the 2019 holiday season. With stunning sets and engaging musical elements, it's not hard to see why this production is a local favorite. The show takes a well-known tale and retells with the fun creativity of a children's production, but with the sensibilities that play to adults' nostalgia.

Synetic Theater brings its unique spin to the high seas with an inclusive and immersive adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The production features a stellar cast, many of whom are making their Synetic debuts.
Photo Flash: First Look at 1st Stage's A CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS
It's 1864 and Washington, D.C. is settling down to the coldest Christmas Eve in years. Stories of many intertwining lives- spanning from the battlegrounds of Northern Virginia to the halls of the White House- demonstrate that the gladness of one's heart is the best gift of all. This "rich and moving play with music" (Variety) is a treat the whole family will enjoy.

BWW Review: THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ at Synetic Theater
It is difficult to think of another work of American literature that has so captured the imagination or has inspired more reincarnations than L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This summer, Synetic Theater manages to make a mark on this prolific field with their own adaptation.
BST Presents THE TROJAN WOMEN PROJECT In Repertory With CORIOLANUS
BST's 2018 repertory explores war and winning from opposite perspectives. As civil unrest threatens political upheaval, the war hero Coriolanus is driven to defend and then destroy his own country. Shakespeare's last tragedy takes a piercing look at men who cannot leave war behind. Performed as part of the Women's Voices Theater Festival, The Trojan Women Project explores the timeless story of The Trojan Women to illuminate modern women's relationships to sexuality, politics, and violence. This intersectional look at American women asks why our gender isn't enough to unite us and whether we are the losers in the American Dream.
