The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU has commissioned a new dramatic work based on the museum's current exhibition, Stitching History from the Holocaust. The new one act play is called A Stitch in Time, and is about the true story of Paul and Hedwig "Hedy" Strnad who tragically perished in the Holocaust after failed attempts in 1939 to secure a visa to flee to the U.S. from Prague.

Samuel French presents The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, the nation's premier short play competition August 4 - 9 at the East 13th Street Theater (Classic Stage Company). Chosen from over 1,500 submissions (a record breaking number) from the U.S. and abroad, 30 finalist plays, each running 10-30 minutes in length, will be presented. The Sunday, August 9th presentation is the culmination of the week-long festival at which the six winning plays will be presented.

CITY THEATRE!, a special program presented by City Theatre and the Olympia Theater that features six directed readings of short plays that are in consideration for future production and/or are part of the City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting Contest. This one-night-only FREE event takes place on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Lobby Lounge of the Olympia Theater at Gusman Center.
