The Howard County Arts Council has announced the recipients of its 2021 Arts Scholarships. A total of $10,000 in awards was distributed. Scholarship funds will be used for enrollment in an accredited college program for a degree in the arts and are sent directly to the registrar or bursar’s office of the university chosen by the recipient.

Phil Riveness Named President of History Theatre; New Board Members Confirmed

On August 5th, 2013, Phil Riveness and Melissa Weldon were elected as the new President and Vice President for History Theatre's Board of Directors at the Annual Board Meeting, held at the Lilydale Pool and Yacht Club. Riveness has been a member of History Theatre's Board of Directors since 2008, is active with the Board's Governance committee, and is a retiree Associate Administator from the Noran Nerological Clinic in Minneapolis. Weldon has been a member of History Theatre's Board of Directors since 2011, is active with the Education committee, and is a Partner at Larson King, LLP in downtown Saint Paul.
