New Federal Theatre to Present TELLING TALES OUT OF SCHOOL Beginning Next Month

Four women writers of the Harlem Renaissance meet in 'Telling Tales Out of School' by Wesley Brown, directed by Woodie King, Jr. at Castillo Theatre/ASP. The play offers a unique perspective on the Harlem Renaissance by providing a character study of four of its most-noted female prime movers. Check out event information here!

The Flynn Hosts A Virtual Movement For Parkinson's Interactive Performance, December 19

On Sunday, December 19 at 4 pm, the Flynn will host a special presentation by the dancers in the Movement for Parkinson's and Wellness class. Everyone is welcome to attend this 'Informance'—a combination performance and informative workshop—which includes an interactive look at some of the techniques that the students regularly use, as well as a performance of a piece they have been working on throughout the fall semester.

Gloria McLean, a New York-based dancer, choreographer and teacher, is the founder and artistic director of LIFEDANCE/Gloria McLean and Dancers. From 1982-1993, Ms. McLean was a member of the Erick Hawkins Dance Company, performing in New York, the U.S., and internationally. She is considered one of the leading exponents of this American Modern Dance tradition.

Coeurage Theatre Presents THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS, Beginning Tonight

Coeurage Theatre Company (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director) has announced a limited return engagement of The Trouble With Words. The 2011 Ovation Award-winner for Original Music and Lyrics (Gregory Nabours), will once again be directed by Patrick Pearson and will run at The Lost Studio on S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. There will be two preview performances tonight, February 28, and Friday, March 1 at 8pm, and opening is set for Saturday, March 2 at 8pm. The Trouble With Words will play through March 31 only.

Louise English and David Essex Lead All The Fun Of The Fair UK Tour

Louise English is reprising her highly acclaimed leading lady role as Rosa, a beautiful and mysterious Irish fortuneteller, in a national tour of the smash-hit West End musical All The Fun Of The Fair, alongside pop legend David Essex as Levi Lee, which opens 16 September 2011 at the New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, and tours through 14 April 2012.
ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR Changes Performance Schedule, Effective Immediately

Previously playing Tuesday through Sunday, ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR will now play Monday through Saturday, according to the production. The show will play Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 3pm. All the Fun of the Fair previewed from 20 April at London's Garrick Theatre, with press night on 28 April and is running until 5 September 2010.
