The Richmond Shakespeare Festival is a professional Actor's Equity theatre performing in the birthplace of recorded jazz, near downtown Richmond, Indiana. For this summer's season, the Richmond Shakespeare Festival presents The Tempest and Hamlet in rotating repertory, June 21 to July 6 in the Whitewater Gorge State Park in Richmond, Indiana.  Performing in a covered outdoor venue in the Whitewater Gorge Park, this year's Festival is part of a growing trend of new Shakespeare Festivals popping up all over the country.

Casting Announced for Teller and Aaron Posner's MACBETH at Chicago Shakespeare

Chicago Shakespeare Theater  (CST) announces the cast and creative team for the theatrical event of the season: Macbeth, adapted and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and Aaron Posner-the celebrated creative duo behind CST's The Tempest, winner of the Jeff Award for Best Production in 2015. Starring Ian Merrill Peakesas Macbeth and Chaon Cross as Lady Macbeth, Shakespeare's psychological thriller immerses audiences in a world of dark magic and ambition, delving into the twisted psyches of the ultimate power-hungry couple.
Writers Theatre Presents A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents A Moon for the Misbegotten, written by Eugene O'Neill and directed by WT Resident Director William Brown. A Moon for the Misbegotten runs February 7 March 18, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Writers Theatre Extends Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

16th Street Theater announced the one week extension of EM Lewis' THE GUN SHOW directed by Kevin Christopher Fox now thru August 9 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn. Artistic Associate and actor Juan Francisco Villa turns the spotlight on Lewis' relationship with guns as he shares true stories from the playwright's personal experiences with firearms -- from a farming community in rural Oregon to Los Angeles and New York City.

TheatreSquared today announced the lineup for the 2013 Arkansas New Play Festival, the theatre's fifth annual celebration of bold new works for the stage.The festival will feature staged reading performances of four plays by professional playwrights, a showcase of ten-minute plays by Arkansas high school students, and Northwest Arkansas's seventh annual 24-Hour Play-Off. For the first time, the Arkansas New Play Festival is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Tickets are $7 (staged reading performances), $10 (The 24 Hour Play-Off), or $30 for a New Play Pass including all festival events, and they can be reserved by calling the Walton Arts Center Box Office at (479) 443-5600 or online at theatre2.org.
PRICE CHECK, Starring Parker Posey, Hits Theaters Today

Michael Walker's comedy PRICE CHECK, with Parker Posey, Eric Mabius, Annie Parisse, Josh Pais, Cheyenne Jackson, and Edward Herrmann starring, made its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. IFC Films will release the film theatrically today, November 16th.
