Photo Flash: Colors of Community Event Uses Theater & Panel as Catalyst for Healing, Change
When Bobby Daniel Rodriguez, Kaili Y. Turner, and Kim Rios Lin set out to produce their 3rd Colors of Community event they were fully aware of the event's timing three days after our Nation's Presidential election. The house was packed at HSA Theater, with individuals of all emotions ready to absorb the Colors of Community Mission: 'To help bridge the divides between communities through theater and discourse.'
Colors of Community to Celebrate Female Playwrights, Directors at Third Event
The November 11th series of Colors of the Community will discuss women's issues and female empowerment; racial relations; law enforcement and the community; and the black market of orphan rehoming. The featured plays were all written and directed by women. Ensuing discussion will feature an all-woman panel, moderated by a woman!

Drama Book Shop Launches COLLECTIVE:10 ANTHOLOGY Today
The Collective NY is launching VOL.2 of The COLLECTIVE:10 ANTHOLOGY today, December 16 at the Drama Book Shop. The anthology contains the 12 original short plays that premiered as part of the 2nd annual Collective:10 this past October. It also includes a special forward by Emmy-recognized actor and director Susan Aston (Actor and Director, The Actors Studio).

The Collective NY is launching VOL.2 of The COLLECTIVE:10 ANTHOLOGY on Tuesday, December 16 at the Drama Book Shop. The anthology contains the 12 original short plays that premiered as part of the 2nd annual Collective:10 this past October. The Collective NY presents the 2nd annual COLLECTIVE:10, two curated programs of new 10-minute plays. Performances begin today, October 8 at Teatro Circulo. Last year's inaugural Collective:10 performed to sold-out audiences and featured the talents of Ellen Burstyn and Elizabeth Kemp. This season's plays, selected from over 1000 blind submissions, will also be published as an anthology.
