Suellen Vance is an award winning producer and actress as well as Managing Member of Moldy Fig Productions, LLC. Recent projects include the multi-award winning *Central Avenue Breakdown at the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). As a partner in YankeeBelle Productions, LLC, other projects include GODSPELL and THE PEE WEE HERMAN SHOW ON BROADWAY. As an actress, Suellen appeared in John Gould Rubin’s 2010 sold out production of Hedda Gabler as well as in numerous commercials and voiceovers. In 1999, she won the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America’s first-ever Woman of the Year Award (NYC). Ms. Vance previously spent several years in private wealth management. *Central Avenue Breakdown won several top awards for Excellence in Music, Choreography, Orchestrations and Individual Performance at NYMF 2011 as well as the Daegu International Music Festival (DIMF) Production Award. Central Avenue Breakdown is the largest show ever awarded this honor. Ms. Vance, in a joint initiative with NYMF and DIMF, will open this amazing new musical at the Daegu International Music Festival in early July 2012 and then return to the 2012 New York Musical Theater Festival to open at the new Frank Gehry designed Signature Theater Center on 42nd street for a limited festival run.

Casting is complete for LaunchingFWD : Season 2, the second annual sneak preview concert of new musicals in development offered by FWD Theatre Project, one of the most-watched new arts organizations in town. Last year's LaunchingFWD event (starring headliner and hometown superstar Jessie Mueller in her first Chicago appearance since winning the Tony Award for Beautiful) sold out the 320 seat main room at City Winery and required overflow seating; FWD hopes this year's event will be even more impressive.

When FWD Theatre Project introduced itself in 2014 (at City Winery Chicago,) audiences, actors, producers, and critics took notice. Something special had arrived for the city's arts community and for the future of musical theatre in Chicago. A group of seasoned theatre professionals combined to create a Festival of Works in Development, part of an effort to build Chicago into a premiere destination for writers and creators to showcase their new musicals in process. One year later and FWD's inaugural season of five staged readings - selected from the world's best projects on offer - was a success, selling out many of its events at a variety of Chicago venues.
