Omaha Community Playhouse Holds 21/22 Awards Night
The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) held its annual Awards Night celebration on Monday, August 1, to honor cast and crew members in the 2021/22 season. This year the Outstanding Youth Performance Awards has been renamed to the Jim Eisenhardt Outstanding Youth Award, to honor Jim's passion, work, and devotion to inspiring the youth of Omaha through theatre and the arts.

BWW Review: UNCLE VANYA at Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company: Misery Meets Magical
The Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company opens UNCLE VANYA at the Joslyn Castle. The stellar cast under the able direction of Cathy Kurz perfectly carries out Chekhov's desire for naturalism. They do not overact. There is no melodrama or big gestures. They feel the emotion and it is exposed. This is stripped down genuine humanity and it is truly special.

There's something deliciously undercover at the Omaha Community Playhouse. CALENDAR GIRLS, directed by Susan Baer Collins, opens tonight for a four-week run. The strong ensemble cast reveals distinct, fully rounded personalities. I had so much fun watching their characters unfold, particularly the six friends who belong to the British social club for women, the WI (Women's Institute).
