Lyons & Campbell Midamerica Mid-October Mini Tour Comes To Carriage Court Pizza

Steven Lyons & Jamie Campbell are reuniting for a limited-run comedy tour that will hit a handful of lucky cities this October. The duo met when they were both stand-out performers in Chicago's world-famous comedy scene. Two twelve year-olds trapped inside the bodies of 30-something men, their act combines sketch comedy, stand-up, improvisation, and any other mix of dumb fun they can think of! Before disbanding when both left Chicago, they collaborated on the sketch comedy/talk show Talk Hard, which was named Chicago's "Best Sketch/Improv Troupe" by The Chicago Reader. The duo has performed on numerous stages, including The CSz Theater, Laugh Out Loud Comedy, Chicago Underground Comedy, Under The Gun Theater, and as headliners at the Columbus Improv Festival. They appeared on television sets across the nation as guests on Steve Gadlin's Star Makers. Steven now resides back in his home country of New Zealand, but is returning to the U.S. for a brief stint, making this very limited reunion tour possible. Don't miss this rare chance to see Lyons & Campbell return to the stage!

MCL Theatre Presents ANTICS ROADSHOW WITH DEVON MEYERS, 5/7 - 6/25

Coming Thursdays 10pm, May 7th - June 25th to the MCL Theatre, "Antic's Roadshow with Devon Myers" is a semi-scripted absurdist musical parody of the popular PBS TV show Antiques Roadshow. Aging fictional television personality Devon Myers and his overly sentimental producer Preston Antic, are joined by an eclectic mix of characters as they create on-the-fly histories and evaluations of treasured items presented to them by the audience. Audience members are encouraged to bring objects from home and are quickly drawn into the excitement of this upbeat reinterpretation an iconic television show.
