Recent highlights: Pickering’s 2003 production of Tom Szentgyorgyi’s AMONG THE THUGS for the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in Los Angeles received two Backstage West Awards, three L.A. Drama Critic Circle Awards and three L.A. Weekly Awards, including Best Direction. In 2005, he celebrated over 700 performances of Falls’ Tony Award-winning landmark production of Arthur Miller’s DEATH OF A SALESMAN with Brian Dennehy at Goodman, on Broadway, for the National Tour, for the Showtime network, and in London. NICHOLAS and Josh Rollins' A GIRL WITH SUN IN HER EYES for Pine Box, both staged by Matthew Miller, and at Goodman: Seth Bockley’s ASK AUNT SUSAN and Falls' production of Chekhov's THE SEAGULL. In 1988 Pickering received a Jeff Citation for designing the costumes, masks, and puppets for Bailiwick Repertory’s production of George Orwell’s ANIMAL FARM.
