ACT Contemporary Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the 49th year of the beloved theatrical classic, A Christmas Carol. Originally adapted for the stage in 1976 by ACT founder Gregory Falls, this season's production will see the return of Seattle actor Darragh Kennan in the iconic role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

The sixth annual Detroit Improv Festival arrives Wednesday, August 10 with performances and workshops continuing through Sunday, August 14. Founded in 2007, FRIGID New York is an open and uncensored theatre festival that gives artists an opportunity to let their ingenuity thrive in a venue that values freedom of expression and artistic determination. In true support of theatre on the fringe of the mainstream, 100% of box office proceeds will go directly to the artists. The 'Pump Boys' sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the 'Dinettes', Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp diner next door. To look at it, you wouldn't know that this little stop on the highway is where all the action is, but when the boys get the guitars, piano, bass and, yes, kitchen utensils revved up, you won't want to be anywhere else. 'Pump Boys and Dinettes' is packed with highly entertaining toe-tappers such as 'Drinkin' Shoes,' 'Farmer Tan' and 'The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine!'
