BWW Review: Theatre Artists Studio Presents I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER
Theatre Artists Studio is closing its already impressive Season with Robert Anderson's I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER. Directed by Steve Fajardo, the presentation is appropriately stark and focused. A simple set with the bare essentials gives the right space to a string of stirring performances, featuring Tom Koelbel, Charles Sowder, and Judy Lebeau. The show runs through May 13th.
Theatre Artists Studio Presents STOREFRONT CHURCH by John Patrick Shanley
The three great American institutions: Business, Religion and Politics, collide in the engaging, humorous play by Pulitzer, Tony, and Oscar award winning playwright John Patrick Shanley. Completing Shanley's "Church and State" trilogy which includes Doubt and Defiance, Storefront Church examines the intricate, and sometimes tenuous, relationships of a Bronx borough as its residents are confronted with spiritual, financial, and moral crossroads.

BWW Reviews: Theatre Artists Studio Presents NEW SUMMER SHORTS
Theatre Artists Studio has set the table for a healthy, satisfying, and inspiring feast of plays in its 2015 NEW SUMMER SHORTS which runs through June 28th. The play's the thing in a festival of short works written and directed my members of the co-op. At ten minutes a pop, each of the eight productions in this year's showcase catches the audience's conscience, at one level or another. As mirrors of human foibles and affects, their themes resonate with the familiarity of an old mistake, eliciting a knowing smile or a reluctant frown.
BWW Reviews: Humanity Exposed in Theatre Artists Studio's NEW SUMMER SHORTS
Imagine a world without music or dance. Walk in the shoes of war veterans who cope in singular ways with their demons. Feel for the husband who can't get a word in edge-wise between two prototypical controllers, his wife and a doctor. Contemplate government-regulated dinners. Feel for the wife who fears for her life and takes necessary measures. Occupy the assassin's psyche before the lethal act. It's this thread of foibles, follies, fears, and fancies that weaves through the eight ten-minute plays currently featured in Theatre Artists Studio's 7th Annual New Summer Shorts Festival.

In this compelling dramatic triptych, three terminal patients dwell in separate cottages on a hospital grounds. A poignant and compelling look at the emotional journeys of the patients and those who love them, The Shadow Box is the winner of a Tony Award® for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize.
