MONSOON WEDDING Musical Will Now Open in India in 2021
The musical adaptation of Mira Nair's hit film Monsoon Wedding will now open in India in 2021. Prior to the global health crisis, the musical was set to open at Leeds Playhouse on June 17th 2020 before transferring to London's Roundhouse to play a limited season from 17th July to 29th August.

British theatre composer Nick Butcher releases his musical film, Loved Before, staring Kayleigh Mcknight (Tina, Jesus Christ Superstar) and directed by Stephen Whitson (Hamilton, 42nd Street). The cast also includes Prince Plocky (Coriolanus, Lazerus) and Anne Vanderelst (credit). The film features the original song, He's Been Loved Before, with Music by Nick Butcher and Lyrics by Nick Butcher and Tom Ling.

First Ever Stage Production of J.B. Priestley's BENIGHTED at Old Red Lion Theatre

Now the world premiere of its stage production, adapted by Duncan Gates, will be staged at the Old Red Lion this Christmas. Elegies For Angels, Punks and Raging Queens is a song cycle with music by Janet Hood and lyrics and additional text by Bill Russell. The work features songs and monologues inspired by the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt and Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology. Each of the monologues is written from the perspective of characters who have died from AIDS and the songs represent the feelings of friends and family members dealing with the loss.
