The New Acting Company to Present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

The New Acting Company is celebrating its 15th anniversary with, A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. A Midsummer's Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies and has been updated and reimagined to fit the modern time. The production is directed by The New Acting Company's Producing Artistic Director, Stephen Michael Rondel, and choreographed by Ede Thurrell. The script has been reimagined and adapted by Mary Jo Bono.

At the conclusion of the new musical on stage at the Theater at St. Clement's Church, an animated film of flowers blooming is projected on the cyclorama. It is supposed to represent a prayed-for miracle, however the lighting and the metallic confetti falling in front of it make the flowers appear out of focus and at times completely blurred. It seems a fitting way to end a show that has great promise but is completely out of focus in its present state
