Pittsburgh Public Theater Announces New Administrative Appointees
Board Chair Michael H. Ginsberg today announced the team that will lead Pittsburgh Public Theater when Producing Artistic Director Ted Pappas departs this August after 18 seasons. Named Artistic Director is Marya Sea Kaminski, the current Associate Artistic Director at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Promoted to Managing Director is Louis A. Castelli, who has been with Pittsburgh Public Theater for 20 years.

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts completed its five month national search for a new President today when it announced the selection of Kim Baker, former Senior Vice President of External Affairs, as the newly appointed President of the organization.
Kentucky Center to Serve More Than 6,000 Additional Youth with $85,000 in Grants
The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts recently received four unique grants from both local and national organizations, totaling $85,000, to support such community arts programs as Arts in Healing, ArtsReach and Arts Access Education. These grants, which are expected to increase youth program participation by more than 6,000, were awarded to the Center by the WHAS Crusade for Children, Kosair Charities, Inc., The Humana Foundation and The Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Kentucky Center to Restore Iconic Alexander Calder Sculpture this Summer
The iconic, 11 foot tall, red and black sculpture that adorns the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts front steps, will be taking a summer sabbatical when it is taken away for professional restoration and painting on July 13. It is expected to return on October 12. Known as 'The Red Feather,' and completed by artist Alexander Calder in 1975, the sculpture has been a symbol of not only the Kentucky Center, but downtown Louisville since its acquisition and installation in 1989.
