The American Airlines Theatre will become the Todd Haimes Theatre, in recognition of the late artistic director and chief executive’s extraordinary dedication to the institution he called home, and his enormous contributions to Roundabout and the entire theatre community.
LEOPOLDSTADT Extends on Broadway Through July 2, 2023
Leopoldstadt, Tom Stoppard's Olivier Award-winning Best New Play, directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Patrick Marber, will now play through July 2, 2023 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) on Broadway.
Tony Winner Nathan Lane Will Return to Broadway's Hit Comedy IT'S ONLY A PLAY!
Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Tony Award winner Nathan Lane will return to the Broadway's biggest hit comedy It's Only a Play in the role of James Wicker on March 31, 2015 and will continue with the production through its scheduled closing date of June 7, 2015. Lane departed It's Only A Play on January 4, 2015 due to a previously scheduled commitment with the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) staging of The Iceman Cometh.
Official: IT'S ONLY A PLAY Extends Broadway Run Into June!
Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that the smash hit Broadway comedy It's Only a Play, which opened on Broadway on October 9, 2014, has extended its run through Sunday, June 7, 2015. Originally announced as a limited engagement through January 4th, It's Only a Play was recently extended through March 29th at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street), where it will now play through June 7th. Tickets are now on sale for all performances. Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Broadway's record-breaking, star-studded smash hit comedy It's Only a Play by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, will welcome two new stars. Beginning January 7, 2015, two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning "30 Rock" alum Maulik Pancholy-in his Broadway debut-will assume the roles of 'Julia Budder' and 'Frank Finger', respectively.
Matthew Broderick Signs on for IT'S ONLY A PLAY's Extended Broadway Run
Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Tony® Award winner Matthew Broderick has extended his contract with Broadway's smash hit It's Only A Play. Originally scheduled to appear in the production through its original closing date of January 4th, Broderick will continue to star in the production through its new end date on March 29, 2015. Broderick currently stars in the production opposite Nathan Lane, who exits on January 4th for a previously scheduled professional commitment. Beginning January 7th, Broderick will headline It's Only A Play opposite the previously-announced Martin Short.
