The 5th Avenue Theatre Announces High School Musical Theater Awards
High school students from across Washington State packed Benaroya Hall tonight for The 12th Annual 5th Avenue Awards Honoring High School Musical Theater, a high school version of the Tony Awards, proudly sponsored for the tenth year by Wells Fargo with additional support from Alaska Airlines. The house was packed with 2,000 teenagers, dressed in costume representing their schools' musical theater productions, who cheered for their peers as they performed musical excerpts and accepted awards honoring top student achievements in musical theater. The acclaimed event, directed this year by Mathew Wright, handed out awards in 21 categories ranging from Outstanding Overall Musical Production to Outstanding Lobby Display.

The 5th Avenue Awards will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, June 9, at Benaroya Hall.

Surprise Twist on Last Night's AMERICAN IDOL
Last night on AMERICAN IDOL, it was announced that the final four contestants – Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover – will all get another shot at performing for America next Wednesday, May 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

PADRES, an organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families conducted a bone marrow drive at L.A. LIVE to try and help find a match for a child in need. American Idol's Season 10 finalist Stefano Langone participated in the festivities and registered to donate. Ryan announced that after 58 million votes had been counted, Elise, Hollie, and Skylar were in the bottom three, which meant that Jessica, Joshua, and Phillip were in the top three. Ryan quickly sent Skylar to safety, leaving Elise and Hollie in the bottom two. Then Elise was the last contestant standing.
Carrie Underwood, Coldplay to Perform on Next Week's AMERICAN IDOL
