Toshi Reagon Launches PARABLE PATH BOSTON - A Year Long Artist Residency At Emerson College
ArtsEmerson, the professional presenting and producing organization at Emerson College, is thrilled to announce that renowned musician, composer, producer, and activist Toshi Reagon is launching a new community engagement initiative on May 22, which she calls Parable Path Boston, based on the tenets of Octavia E. Butler's novel The Parable of the Sower. Reagon is Emerson College's current artist-in-resident through June 2021 funded by the Fresh Sound Foundation and the Doris Duke Foundation.

Jeff Swearingen, Andy Baldwin, Matt Lyle to Headline the New York Reading of the Critically Acclaimed and Award Winning Hit from Fun House Theatre and Film
Fun House Theatre and Film makes its foray into the New York market and adult, professional theater with a reading of the critically acclaimed and multiple award winning original comedy from playwright Jeff Swearingen, STIFF. April, 23 at8:00p.m. at The Crown Theater, 358 W. 44th St. Directed by Jeff Swearingen, the reading will feature former award winning Dallas actor, now based in New York, Andy Baldwin as the producer, Saul Solomon, along with one of our regions's most beloved theatre fixtures, Matt Lyle as the obsessive compulsive writer, Robert Grey, and Swearingen himself in the role of the hapless, hopeless and dimwitted actor, Guy Van. The eight additional roles in the cast will be rounded out with professional New York actors with auditions occurring March 27 at Shelter Studios in New York.
