Sophie is originally from Nottingham where they are very proud to have a Mythological thief as their city’s emblem. She has been "daaan saaaff", clinging onto her accent, since she left home to train at Performers College. She graduated the college as Winner of the Music Award and with the 3rd Year Award.
Sophie has gone on to a career across the world in Musical Theatre. Some of her roles to date include 'Glinda’ in Wicked (West End); ‘Janet' Rocky Horror Show (Italian Tour and Oxford Playhouse). Sophie was also lucky enough to be asked to play 'Columbia’ in the 42nd Anniversary Gala performance of Rocky Horror Live in cinemas and Sky Arts alongside Richard O'Brien, Stephen Fry, Mel Giedroyc, Ade Edmonson, Anthony Head and Emma Bunton.
Sophie has most recently played ‘Mary Pickford’ in The Biograph Girl at the Finborough Theatre and the 'Mermaid' in Big Fish the Musical at The Other Palace starring Kelsey Grammar.
Other Theatre Credits Include: Ensemble and understudy 'Lisa' in Mamma Mia (West End); 'Stone Rockmanbrock' Silence! The Musical (Barons Court Theatre). ‘Flora’ in It Must’ve Been Love (workshop).
Television Credits Include: Royal Variety Performance (ITV); X Factor (ITV); The Slammer (CBBC); Top of the Pops (BBC) and Halifax (commercial).
Film Credits Include: Rocky Horror Live, Mamma Mia! The Movie (pre-production workshop).
Other Credits Include: Recordings; Don’t Stop Believin’ (UK tour).
Sophie also writes daft songs on her ukulele, for fun and often gets asked to perform them for people that like daft songs on ukuleles. There is an album pending which stretches more into the musical theatre realm, which she will finish. Promise.
As well as working in the industry for over 14 years Sophie is an accredited Life Coach and certified in Counselling skills and looks after Performers Minds in many Performing Arts Colleges running mental health workshops.
