Liverpool Pride is back this weekend with a two-day celebration of all things LGBT+. Following the successful relocation of the festival in 2016, Liverpool Pride will return to St Georges Quarter for the second year on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July sponsored by Barclays.
BWW Review: SOCIAL SECURITY at Oyster Mill Playhouse
Every so often, a show comes along that manages to surprise even the most unlikely of theatre-goers. Shows that seem geared towards a certain audience sometimes prove themselves able to entertain a vast array of tastes, more than they may have expected. This is the case of SOCIAL SECURITY at Oyster Mill Playhouse, a play aimed to tickle the funny bones of an older crowd that still succeeds in getting a laugh from all ages.
BWW Review: MRS. PACKARD: Nevertheless, She Persisted
Before Senator Elizabeth Warren, another Elizabeth spoke out, despite being warned and threatened with commitment to an insane asylum. Bridge Repertory Theater, in a co-production with Playhouse Creatures, presents Emily Mann's MRS. PACKARD, a drama inspired by true events, chronicling one woman's fight for the right to freely express her opinion, even if it differed from that of her husband. Under the direction of Emily Ranii, a cast of eighteen actors, lead by Olivia D'Ambrosio, Joseph Rodriguez, and Steven Barkhimer, stages a vivid and compelling interpretation of Mann's play.
West End's BILLY ELLIOT Welcomes 30 New Ballet Girls to Cast
This week thirty young dancers will take to the stage at the Victoria Palace Theatre as Ballet Girls in the West End production of Billy Elliot the Musical. Earlier this month the show announced the release of over new 570,000 tickets taking booking to 16 May 2015 during which time the internationally award-winning production will celebrate 10 years in the West End.
