BIO

Sophia is NYC based actress originally from Wisconsin. She represented her home state in the 2014 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Jimmys) in 2014. She was a finalist and had the honor of performing a solo on a Broadway stage. She is a recent graduate of Wagner College in NYC. While getting her degree, she played Reno Sweeney in ANYTHING GOES, Luisa in NINE, Sheila in HAIR, and, was a part of developing a play about Helen Keller for the Transport Theatre Group. She spent a summer in the Resident Company at the Mac-Haydn Theatre where she played many roles including Annette in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. This year she also performed in the reading of a new musical called IMPOSSIBLY GEORGE and continues to perform in the city in the musical revue CELEBRATE THE MOMENT starring Jill Senter.

Choreographer Joanna Rush appeared on Broadway in A CHORUS LINE (also as Sheila in the Los Angeles company), Shirley MacLaine AT THE PALACE starring Shirley MacLaine, in films including The Night They Raided Minsky's, A Killing Affair costarring with O.J. Simpson and Elizabeth Montgomery, and the TV remake of William Inge's Splendor in the Grass, which she also choreographed. Miss Rush currently tours the US in her one-woman show KICK and her newest show, SEX & POWER.
