Wink, presented by the Brooklyn-based Spellbound Theatre, brings an imaginative, multidisciplinary performance of mesmerizing shadow puppetry, physical theater, and delightful animation to the New Victory Theater from April 22 through May 7. Inspired by Eugene Field's 1889 dreamlike bedtime poem “Wynken, Blynken, and Nod,” this unique show takes young audience members (recommended for ages 4-7) on a captivating journey that transforms a familiar bedroom into an enchanting world full of surprises.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre Will Present Re-Envisioned Musical CAMBODIA AGONISTES
Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, supported by a prestigious $35,000 Award from the National Endowment for the Arts, has announced it will present a re-envisioned revival production of Cambodia Agonistes, with play and lyrics by Ernest Abuba and original music by Louis Stewart. Performances are set to begin Monday, May 18, 2020 at 7:30PM for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2020 at 2:30PM in The Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./NY Theatres (502 West 53rd Street). The Los Angeles premiere of Lloyd Suh's THE CHINESE LADY launches the Greenway Court Theatre's 2019-2020 season, with opening night September 7, 2019. In a co-production with Artists At Play, THE CHINESE LADY (based on a true story) features Amy Shu (as Afong Moy, the first female Chinese immigrant to come to America) and Trieu Tran (as Atung, Afong's translator/caretaker), under the direction of Rebecca Wear. Playwright Lloyd Suh took a few moments before flying into Los Angeles to answer my questioning queries.

The play runs from March 8-24, 2019 in the Young Theatre on campus. "The Cherry Orchard" follows a destitute Russian aristocrat who returns home to find her family in a financial crisis, forcing them to sell their home to pay off their debt. The family must decide on their prospects for happiness and how to rebuild their lives and fortunes.
