Clean Break has announced two new appointments, as director and playwright Lakesha Arie-Angelo joins the company from March 2024 in the newly created role of Associate Artistic Director and award-winning actor Michelle Greenidge becomes a Patron with immediate effect.
Clean Break Announces Departure Of Joint Artistic Director RóisÃn McBrinn
After eight years with the company, RóisÃn McBrinn is leaving Clean Break. She will direct the premiere of Favour at the Bush Theatre in June before joining The Gate Theatre in Dublin as Artistic Director. As Clean Break's Joint Artistic Director and Chief Executive, RóisÃn has been included in the prestigious lists The Stage 100 and Big Issue Top 100 Changemakers.
Full Cast Announced For the UK Premiere of Lucas Hnath's A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 at Donmar Warehouse
Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Michael Longhurst and Executive Director Henny Finch today announce the full cast for the UK première of Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2. Joining Noma Dumezweni as Nora are Patricia Allison (Emmy), BrÃan F. O'Byrne (Torvald), and June Watson (Anne Marie). James Macdonald's production, in a reconfigured Donmar in the round, opens on 16 June, with previews from 10 June, and runs until 6 August.

With over 725 stories to choose from, the eight writers we commissioned to reimagine Aesop's Fables were spoilt for choice. Each of the writers has had their own unique take on them - from Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig's joyful musical with a crow chorus through to as piece by Chris Goode which takes the basis of a rehearsal room and then smashes through the fourth wall with an act of animalistic rebellion.
The Unicorn Announces Summer Workshops And Activities
The Unicorn will be continuing their hugely popular workshops this summer holidays. Led by professional theatre-makers, participants can learn great new skills and make new friends. From dance, set design, drama, puppetry and more. Workshops range from a day or two days, through to the five day Play In A Week workshops. The performance-based workshops close with a sharing for friends and family.
Line Up Revealed For Talawa Firsts Festival
Talawa Theatre Company has revealed the line up for Talawa Firsts 2019: the annual festival dedicated to new Black British theatre writers and makers. By offering a platform to present new work and participate in developmental workshops, Talawa Firsts champions the depth and breadth of new theatre making and writing, representing the diversity of Black voices in theatre and the performing arts. The festival will run from 19 June - 5 July 2019 at Shoreditch Town Hall.
Writers And Cast Announced For AESOP'S FABLES
Unicorn Artistic Director Justin Audibert and Associate Director Rachel Bagshaw direct a series of eight newly commissioned plays from leading voices in theatre based on Aesop's Fables classic tales. They will play in repertory to two age groups, one for ages 4-7 and one for ages 8-12.
