BIO

SOLA THOMPSON was born in Bauchi State, Nigeria, and spent half of her childhood in Nigeria's capital city, Abuja, and the other half in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has received recognition for her work with multiple Jeff Award and Black Theatre Alliance Award nominations. Her training includes an M.F.A. in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She recently assistant directed Sugar in Our Wounds at First Folio Theatre and looks forward to doing more directing. She is an Afrobeats enthusiast.

12 Women Honored as Milwaukee SHEroes at Milwaukee Rep

Milwaukee Repertory Theater will honor 12 Milwaukee SHEroes during the run of Eclipsed, March 3 -29, 2020. A Milwaukee SHEro is a woman* of color who exemplifies the values of dedication to one's community, collaboration and sisterhood. Milwaukee Rep received over 100 nominations, which an outside selection committee including Milwaukee Rep employees and community members, picked the following 12 candidates honored as Milwaukee SHEroes. SEVEN HOMELESS MAMMOTHS WANDER NEW ENGLAND Opens at DePaul University

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England, written by Madeleine George and directed by April Cleveland (MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2019) in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre. The production premieres today, October 20, and runs through Sunday, October 29, 2017. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on October 18 and 19 at 7:30 PM. Post-show discussions will follow the performances on October 22 (2:00 PM) and October 26 (7:30 PM).
