THE SUSTAINABLE ART SHOW Celebrates 10 Years Of Artists In Residence At Materials For The Arts

Materials for the Arts (MFTA) - a program of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs - is pleased to announce The Sustainable Art Show, an exhibition of artwork on view in COPE NYC's space at the historic Pfizer Building in Brooklyn by artists who have participated in the first 10 years of the unique MFTA Artist-in-Residence program.

Flushing Town Hall Continues 40th Anniversary Season Celebrations With A Spectacular Selection Of Jazz And More

In 2019, Flushing Town Hall offers a breadth of outstanding global music, family programs, exhibitions, jazz and workshops. From January through June, Flushing Town Hall will present 72 programs, including 18 world music shows, 10 jazz performances, eight family programs, seven classical music concerts, three exhibitions, and more.  The spring season is a continuation of 40th anniversary celebrations of the Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts (FCCA), the steward of Flushing Town Hall.
Paul Simon To Release New Album IN THE BLUE LIGHT September 7, With Final Leg Of Homeward Bound - The Farewell Tour

Legendary songwriter, recording artist and performer Paul Simon will release his 14 th studio album - In The Blue Light - on September 7. Produced by Simon and Roy Halee, who have worked together since the 1960s, the album features a talented cast of musicians who have joined Simon to lend fresh perspectives on 10 of the artist's favorite (though perhaps less-familiar) songs, drawn from his unparalleled body of work.
Green Space BLOOMS in Celebration of 10th Anniversary

In response to the growing community of choreographers and dance artists in Queens, Dance Entropy inaugurated the Green Space Blooms Dance Festival in April 2007.  The 10th Anniversary of Green Space Blooms will feature 27 diverse choreographers, as well as resident company Valerie Green/Dance Entropy.
